Maureen's practice is focused on Title IX and civil rights investigations. Institutions frequently call upon Maureen to investigate reports of sexual assault, harassment, stalking, interpersonal violence, discrimination, retaliation, and other forms of prohibited conduct under Title IX, the Clery Act, and other state and federal laws. Maureen has served as Interim Title IX Coordinator at Baylor University, Interim Director of Investigations at a large state university, and is a third-party equity consultant for Michigan State University. She regularly delivers training on federal compliance and effective practices for Title IX coordinators, investigators, and decision-makers.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Maureen worked at a boutique Philadelphia firm working primarily with institutions of higher education. Prior to that, she served as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.
Maureen received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University and her law degree from the Temple University School of Law.
