Ethan represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation, including single plaintiff wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment claims and collective/class action wage and hour claims. He defends employers before governmental agencies, arbitrators, and courts and is particularly knowledgeable about California’s unique employment law landscape.

Ethan also maintains a robust counseling practice with an eye toward helping employers avoid litigation at the outset. He regularly advises employers on state and federal labor and employment laws, and is experienced in preparing company policies, employee handbooks, and employment/severance agreements.

In addition, Ethan has developed a practice defending companies in website accessibility cases under the California Unruh Act and the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

During his career, Ethan has worked with both large and small businesses in many industries, including health care, telecommunications, cybersecurity, food retail, food service, finance, and construction. In all aspects of his practice, whether litigation or counseling, Ethan emphasizes a reasonable, practical approach, tailored to the needs of each client. As a trial lawyer, he knows that juries respond to a sense of fairness, and he bears this foundation in mind while vigorously defending his clients against even the most nuanced legal claims.

Ethan is proud to be a member of the Board of Directors for the Disability Rights Legal Center. The Disability Rights Legal Center is a non-profit, public interest advocacy organization that champions the civil rights of people with disabilities, as well as those affected by cancer.
