‘I-9 Audits are Coming:’ Conduct a Self-Review Before Trump Takes Office, Attorney Says

David Adams was quoted in an HR Dive article discussing the importance of conducting Form I-9 self-audits before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, as increased enforcement of I-9 regulations is anticipated.

David focuses his practice on corporate immigration law. He has experience advising multinational corporate clients including dozens of fortune 500 companies on a variety of immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, PERM, permanent residency, and consular processing issues. David provides enterprise-wide advisory services to support corporate clients on a programmatic level and works alongside clients’ legal departments, mobility groups, HR, talent acquisition, and business stakeholders to help them understand policy changes, assess the impact of these changes to their workforce, and modify their immigration program accordingly.

Prior to joining the firm, David worked at an international law firm as a paralegal, client services manager, and associate. As an associate, he was responsible for the supervision of various legal professionals including the billing of more than $5 million annually. He effectively monitored the daily activities of subordinate professionals including the assignment and monitoring of workloads, performance management, review and supervision of all activities, and assignments of productivity goals. He also trained and mentored new hires and ensured appropriate growth within the firm. As a client services manager, he was responsible for data analytics and overall reporting to the client including overall operations relationship management. He also managed the day-to-day office operations, set priorities, and utilized staff and facilities to maximize efficient performance and develop and administer office policies and procedures, including performance appraisals. David would also do monthly audits of immigration data to ensure accuracy including in-depth analysis of immigration case types and related expiration dates to be tracked for future extensions.

David earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA Primer in business essentials from Rutgers College. David earned his law degree from Seton Hall University.

David is a father of 4 wonderful children that keep him very busy outside of work, but in the rare moment he is free, you can find him on a golf course somewhere.
