Susan has worked for more than 15 years as an in-house attorney for Am Law 100 law firms. She focuses her practice on providing attorneys and law firms with counseling on risk management, professional responsibility, legal ethics, and conflicts issues on a wide variety of matters. While in-house, Susan has worked closely with attorneys, management, and staff.  

Prior to her in-house work, Susan worked for more than three years on the State Bar of California’s ethics hotline, which provided her with in-depth knowledge and training in the field of legal ethics. Additionally, Susan has worked as an insurance coverage attorney and, while in law school, Susan was a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, and San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Susan has served as a lecturer for the “Legal Profession” course at Santa Clara University School of Law. 

Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Davis and her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
