Matt is an experienced litigator who concentrates his practice on large property loss subrogation involving fires and explosions, water damage claims, construction defects and structural failures, and financial fraud and employee theft claims across the United States. Matt has successfully tried cases to verdict in multiple jurisdictions and has significant experience in all phases of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked for an insurance litigation firm in Chicago where he primarily handled subrogation, insurance defense, and commercial litigation matters.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy from Fordham University and his law degree from the City University of New York School of Law where he was an associate editor of the New York City Law Review and a research assistant to Professor Caitlin Borgmann. Matt remains active in the Fordham Alumni Chapter of Chicago and frequently volunteers his time to various social organizations throughout the Chicago area.
