Andrei concentrates his practice on subrogation, with experience handling claims for a wide range of insurance matters, including commercial, property, auto, and personal. He is well-practiced in all aspects of litigation and brings a diverse background in law, having recently completed a Master of Laws in European and International law.
Before obtaining his LL.M. in Austria, Andrei was a solicitor with the City of Hamilton, Ontario, where he represented the city in arbitrations and mediations, contract drafting and litigation, municipal matters, general civil litigation, and various insurance and construction matters.
Prior to his work with the city, Andrei was an associate with a boutique law firm in Toronto, where he defended and commenced subrogation claims on behalf of insurers/insureds for a wide range of insurance matters, such as life insurance disputes, motor vehicle accidents, product liability claims, construction defect claims, post-construction damages, and personal liability claims.
Andrei earned his Bachelor of Science, with distinction, from the University of Windsor and his Bachelor of Law from the University of Ottawa. He also holds a Certificate in Construction Law from York University's Osgoode Hall School of Law and a Master of Laws, with distinction, from the University of Vienna.
