John concentrates his practice in general corporate and commercial matters for a wide range of companies, institutions, and individuals. He is currently a vice chairman of the firm and a member of the Advisory Committee that serves as an adviser to the firm’s board of directors and management committee. He previously served as managing partner of the firm, chair of its Compensation Committee and chair of its Business Department.
John’s practice encompasses the areas of corporate and business law, business succession, corporate disputes and shareholder claims and mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate governance and compliance, directors, and officers responsibilities and liability, employee benefits and executive compensation, family business matters, financial institutions, financing and health law.
John has served on the boards of directors of financial institutions, manufacturing companies, and charitable organizations. He has served as a member of both the Philadelphia Trial Court Nominating Commission and the Hearing Committee of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He also has been active in a variety of professional, charitable, educational, civic, and community organizations, and has lectured and authored articles on various subjects.
John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton, and he earned his law degree from Villanova University School of Law.
