New York, March 5, 2024 — Cozen O'Connor acted as U.S. counsel to Cogne Acciai Speciali SpA in its definitive agreement with Salzgitter AG to acquire the capital stock of Mannesmann Stainless Tubes GmbH, a German specialty steel manufacturer. Mannesmann has operations and operating plants throughout the United States as well as in Germany, France, and Italy. The transaction is valued at €135 million.
Cogne Acciai Speciali SpA is a world leader in the production of stainless steel products and nickel alloys. The company has locations in Italy, China, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Salzgitter AG is one of Germany’s largest steel and technology companies.
The multidisciplinary Cozen O’Connor team was led by Christian Moretti, chair of the firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions practice.
