Six Cozen O’Connor Attorneys Recognized by the South Florida Legal Guide

MIAMI, February 2, 2021 — Six Cozen O'Connor attorneys have been honored by the South Florida Legal Guide for their work in South Florida over the last year. Christian Bruno, Jason DomarkSusan EisenbergJames GaleCharles Kline, and Samuel Lewis were named Top Lawyers. Selections to the South Florida Legal Guide top listings are based entirely on peer nominations. Christian Bruno, a member of the firm’s Business Law Department, is a transactional attorney practicing in the areas of real estate, real estate finance, and general corporate and business law. Christian handles all aspects of commercial real estate and finance transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, development, joint ventures, loan issuances and restructurings, note purchases, workouts, and fund formations in Florida and throughout the United States. Christian also represents regional and national businesses in commercial contracts, asset acquisitions and sales, private financings, and general corporate matters, including acting as outside general counsel to businesses in the hospitality and retail industries.

Jason Domark, a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on international litigation, fiduciary litigation, and real estate related litigation. Jason has created and managed worldwide litigation strategies for multinational corporations and individuals in disputes involving U.S., European, South American, Caribbean, and Asian jurisdictions. Jason frequently litigates fiduciary duty issues for corporations, partnerships, trusts, professionals, and other entities and individuals. Jason also maintains an active pro bono practice, having worked on matters for Lawyers Without Borders, Lawyers Serving Warriors, the United Nations, Child Rights International Network, Americans for Immigrant Justice, Sprouting Scholars, and others.

Susan Eisenberg is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Department and managing partner of the Miami office. She has more than 25 years of experience representing employers in all aspects of employment matters and is widely recognized as one of the leading employment law attorneys in Florida. Susan has extensive jury and non-jury trial experience involving sex, race, religion, age, and disability harassment and discrimination issues. She also litigates non-compete and confidentiality issues as well as accessibility issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act. She regularly handles single plaintiff as well as class-action litigation. Susan also advises clients on employment law compliance, discipline, terminations, reductions in force, and wage and hour audits.

James Gale, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, focuses his practice in the area of intellectual property counseling and litigation with more than 30 years of experience. He is a registered patent attorney and Board Certified in Intellectual Property by the Florida Bar. He has represented clients in hundreds of cases involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, covenants not to compete, theft of trade secrets, and internet disputes. He has appeared in more than 400 federal cases in more than 48 federal District and Circuit Courts, as well as handled hundreds of injunctions in over 35 different states around the nation.

Charles Kline, a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, focuses his practice on complex commercial and international litigation. He offers more than 40 years of experience in representing clients in jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts in Florida and other jurisdictions, and conducting arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Samuel Lewis, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and transactional matters involving computer, technology, and internet-related issues. He has represented a wide variety of clients including motion picture companies, photographers, internet and computer-related companies, health care providers, and various other corporations seeking to secure rights, protect their intellectual property, and defend their rights on the internet. He has also served as outside general counsel to a variety of corporations. His background as a photojournalist and computer software developer enables him to combine a practical understanding of content creation and a technical perspective to find solutions for his clients.
