PHILADELPHIA, December 15, 2022 - Cozen O’Connor has selected Julia Simonet, a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, to be a member of the 2023 Fellows Program Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). The LCLD Fellows Program is designed to connect high-potential attorneys with General Counsel and Managing Partners from preeminent organizations for a year-long, multi-tiered professional development series. Julia’s fellowship will begin in March 2023.
The firm has also selected Brian Browne and Catherine Yun, associates in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, to be members of the 2023 class of Pathfinders. This program is designed by the LCLD to train high-performing, early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies, including leadership and the building of professional networks. Brian and Catherine will begin their program in March 2023.
Julia's practice involves all aspects of complex litigation, including advising and counseling clients in contractual disputes, real property, construction matters, wrongful death, personal injury and premises liability. She represents a diverse set of clients comprising of various commercial entities, trucking companies, hotels, restaurants, landowners and telecommunications companies. Julia also has experience in regulation and litigation for utility and energy-related clients and has represented clients in state and federal court, as well as in administrative proceedings before the Public Utility Commission.
Brian focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He represents businesses in various industries and has defended his clients against claims alleging breach of contract and business torts. He has experience successfully litigating claims involving personal injury and property damage. Brian also represents businesses, including a Fortune 500 company, with responding to data security breaches.
Catherine is a well-rounded and dedicated litigator. Having served as a clerk in two federal courts, she offers strategic and practical solutions through all stages of litigation. She has substantial experience in both individual and class actions, in state and federal court, and has defended clients in the most complex cases, including against antitrust multi-district litigation and RICO claims. Catherine also focuses her practice on white collar defense and investigations, vigorously defending her clients’ rights.
