Monday, February 5, 2018

Cozen O’Connor’s Intellectual Property department was recently ranked by World Trademark Review 1000. According to the publication, “Cozen O’Connor is definitely the main competitor for trademark work [in Pennsylvania] and “there is little, if anything, that is beyond the ambit of its dynamic trademark department: it represents rights holders in virtually all industries and its services range from worldwide prosecution and cross-border enforcement to online takedowns and anti-counterfeiting campaigns.”

WTR 1000 also recognized the department’s co-chair, Camille Miller, for prosecution and strategy saying “she enjoys the admiration and loyalty of myriad patrons on account of her business savvy and proactive approach.” Patrick Gallagher, a member of the Intellectual Property department, was also recommended as a “veritable font of insight on the Internet [who] brings significant domain name knowledge to the firm’s practice.”

Camille concentrates her practice in all aspects of intellectual property, specifically trademark, trade dress, copyright, unfair competition, cyber security and data breaches, right of privacy, right of publicity, domain names, counterfeiting, licensing, trade secret, and franchising law, as well as all areas of intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, and copyright. She is a member of the firm's management committee and a member of the firm's board of directors.

Patrick concentrates his practice on trademark and copyright issues, as well as other intellectual property matters. He has extensive experience in trademark clearance, investigation, prosecution, client counseling, and management of domestic and international trademark portfolios on behalf of clients of all sizes in a wide variety of industries. Patrick's practice also focuses on trademark enforcement; trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings; trademark, unfair competition and false advertising disputes and litigation; internet domain name disputes and proceedings; and trademark licensing. His practice also includes providing advice and handling disputes involving social media; IP due diligence; IP licensing; copyright counseling, protection and registration; copyright litigation; Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice and takedown procedures; and domain name acquisition.
