Heather Marx and Kristi Zentner will be presenting this webinar on the evolving trade war with China. The June announcements regarding the potential expansion of 301 tariffs on additional products manufactured in the European Union, recent litigation challenges to the validity of certain 301 tariffs, and the worldwide impact of COVID-19, a careful analysis of the legal underpinnings of the supply chain has become mission critical. Recent examples of corporate initiatives demonstrate how companies can either thrive or suffer significant consequences based upon their ability to analyze, anticipate, and pivot their supply chain strategies as necessary in order to overcome the significant legal challenges imposed by tariffs and contractual supply constraints.
This presentation will provide a brief history of the tariffs imposed on both Chinese and EU-manufactured products, as well as a snapshot of the most salient import issues that successful U.S. importers address in their business, and will further provide examples of the respective successes and challenges faced by companies as a product of their import and legal supply chain strategies.
