Alex DuFour and Matthew Weinstein will speak on a panel titled "Leasing and Loans in the time of Covid-19" at the Association of Corporate Counsel Greater Philadelphia's Corporate Counsel University. The panelists will discuss the current state of the market, across a variety of asset classes, with respect to force majeure clauses, rent relief focusing on abatement, deferral and term modifications, and risk mitigation and insurance products. Highlighting the issues affecting borrowers with respect to various loan types (CMBS, life companies, relationship lenders) and best practices as to how parties are working with lenders in this challenging time. The panelists will also discuss some of the do’s and don’ts gleaned from the pandemic in requesting relief from landlords, responses by landlords to tenants and working with lenders.
