Many products are powered by lithium batteries – laptops, iPhones, digital cameras, etc. Many of these products function without consequence; however, there are some products being put on the market that pose fire risks because they are not equipped with the necessary safeguards.

Philip J. Berens and Jake P. Skaggs will discuss:

  • How and why lithium battery powered products fail
  • How to coordinate your subrogation investigation into one of these product failures
  • Product liability laws in the states of California, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Florida and why it is important to pay attention to state-specific laws when pursuing one of these claims

Hypothetical case studies will be used to demonstrate how an understanding of your state’s products liability laws are crucial to conducting a successful investigation and pursuing a worthwhile subrogation claim.

FL, PA, GA, NC, and TX approved for 1 CE credit. 1 CLE credit pending.
