Keturah represents a wide range of clients facing state attorney general (AG) investigations and litigation, from entrepreneurial startups to Fortune 100 corporations. Efficient and results-oriented, Keturah helps her clients work successfully with AG offices and navigate complex regulatory landscapes to achieve outcomes aligned with their strategic business goals.

Keturah particularly enjoys representing new and emerging businesses, for whom a state AG investigation can have game-changing consequences.

While in law school, Keturah completed legal internships in the chambers of Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the Federal Programs Branch of the U.S. Department of Justice, and the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. March 01, 2021

The Kansas District Court issued a judgment on Friday Feb 26 in favor of our client, Chicago-based payments technology company CardX, LLC, declaring that a Kansas law prohibiting credit card surcharges was unconstitutional as applied to CardX’s surcharging model. The court held that the statute violated CardX’s First Amendment right to commercial speech by unjustifiably controlling how prices are communicated to consumers. This judgment brings the number of states in which CardX is able to operate to 47, with only Colorado, Connecticut and Massachusetts continuing surcharge bans.
