Oliver is an associate in the firm's Global Insurance Department. He has experience evaluating cases, drafting motions, discovery requests, and responses, arguing motions in court, taking and defending depositions, and negotiating settlement.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Oliver was a litigation associate in the product liability & consumer warranty group in the San Francisco office of another full-service Am Law 100 firm. There, he focused on representing Fortune 500 automotive companies against consumer warranty and fraud claims.
Oliver earned his B.A. from Knox College and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school, he served as a teaching assistant for a legal research and writing course and he clerked for the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability and with the Contra Costa County Public Defender’s office. Before entering the legal field, Oliver completed a year of service with City Year AmeriCorps, working as a middle school teaching assistant in Chicago, and he also worked as a business operations analyst for an alternative legal services provider.
