Nandini assists employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She regularly partners with business leaders, managers, and human resource professionals to address a wide range of workplace issues, including employee discipline, termination decisions, disability accommodations, leave management, workplace investigations, and policy development.
Nandini is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
An experienced litigator, Nandini represents employers in employment, restrictive covenant, and trade secret disputes before state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and other administrative agencies. She counsels employers of all sizes through complex workplace challenges and develops practical, risk-based strategies that advance business objectives while minimizing legal exposure.
Nandini is frequently called upon to conduct sensitive workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, executive misconduct, ethics concerns, and other high-risk employee relations issues. She interviews witnesses, evaluates documentary and electronic evidence, and prepares investigative findings and recommendations to help employers resolve disputes and mitigate risk.
Her practice also includes drafting and negotiating employment, restrictive covenant, and separation agreements; developing employee handbooks and workplace policies; advising employers on multi-state employment compliance; and conducting management and employee training programs on workplace best practices. In addition, she advises employers on traditional labor issues, including union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining matters, unfair labor practice charges, and labor relations strategy.
Prior to entering private practice she was an intern at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and at the National Labor Relations Board and was a judicial intern for the Honorable Karen Wells Roby, U.S. Magistrate Judge for Eastern District of Louisiana.
Nandini earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Nandini founded and served as the president of the Labor & Employment Law Society, worked as a student attorney and mediator for the Civil Clinic and Mediation Clinic, and served as president of the South Asian Law Students Association. Nandini was also a finalist in the Lorance & Thompson Negotiation Competition, ABA Regional Arbitration Competition, and ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition.
