Elisabeth is an experienced litigator in the firm’s Global Insurance Department. She focuses her practice on professional liability matters, commercial general liability coverage disputes, and claims involving errors and omissions, institutional bad faith, and improper claims handling and underwriting practices. Elisabeth handles matters in both state and federal courts across the country.
In addition to her insurance coverage practice, Elisabeth has established herself in the construction space, defending architects, engineers, and other design professionals in disputes involving breach of contract, design defects, construction management, personal injury, and construction defects. Elisabeth has litigated claims involving Chicago landmarks such as the Old Main Post Office and Aqua Tower in addition to other commercial and municipal structures.
Elisabeth earned her bachelor’s degree, with departmental honors, from Northwestern University and her law degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. She previously taught public speaking in the Rhetoric Program at Northwestern University, where she conducted research on U.S. political culture and obtained a master’s degree in communication studies. While in law school, Elisabeth served as president of the Women’s Law Society. She is proud of her pro bono activities, including her work on behalf of immigrants seeking asylum in the United States.
