Karina Norwood

Associate

Karina concentrates her practice on defending individuals and businesses against various tort, contracts, products liability, and consumer protection claims. Karina has significant litigation experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts. She also has significant experience in Pennsylvania and New Jersey court-ordered arbitrations and mediations, private mediations, and private arbitrations through AAA and JAMS. Karina’s result-oriented efforts have successfully led to dismissals of cases against her clients on numerous occasions prior to trial. Karina has also achieved numerous favorable arbitration awards for her clients, including awards where the arbitrators have found entirely for her clients. Additionally, Karina has strategically negotiated and settled numerous cases on favorable terms to her clients. 

Karina began her tenure at Cozen O’Connor during the summer of 2020 when she worked as a summer associate. Before that, Karina worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and interned for a Family Law Magistrate Judge at Frederick County Circuit Court. Karina earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Salisbury University and her law degree, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. While in law school, she served as Reimel Coordinator to the Moot Court Board, where she won the 60th Annual Thomas L. Reimel Moot Court Competition and finished as a quarterfinalist at the National August A. Rendigs, Jr. National Products Liability Moot Court Competition. Karina also held the vice president and president position of the Juvenile Law Society during her time at Villanova.
