Cozen O’Connor: McDonough, Anna M.

Anna focuses her practice on business combinations and other complex corporate transactions as well as provides corporate counseling. Anna frequently represents founder-led companies in sale transactions. She represents foreign businesses in establishing U.S. operations, advising them on acquisitions, investments, and operations.

Anna has been recognized for her outstanding legal contributions throughout her career. In 2025, she was the recipient of The Legal Intelligencer’s Most-Effective Dealmaker Award. Anna also received Immigration Equality’s Safe Haven Award in 2019 and Lexology’s Client Choice Award in 2022, 2021, and 2018, and has been recognized by the International Law Office for her outstanding client service.

The deal represents the first private equity exit in U.S. podiatry history.

United Hydrogen is one of the largest privately held merchant hydrogen producers in North America. The company operates a manufacturing plant in southeast Tennessee with a capacity to produce 6.4 tons of liquid hydrogen daily, with plans to expand to 10 tons per day.
