Jonathan K. Kitchen

Vice Chair, Private Equity

Jonathan concentrates his practice on matters involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity and growth transactions, capital reorganizations, financings, and general corporate matters on behalf of private capital providers, private equity sponsors, and companies. He has experience representing clients from a broad range of industries/asset classes, including financial services, technology, auto and commercial finance, investment management, real estate, hospitality, life sciences, healthcare, energy, retail, shipping, and transportation/equipment leasing. He also has experience advising clients with respect to the formation, structuring, launch, and ongoing operation of hedge funds, private equity, fund of funds, managed accounts, liquid alternatives mutual funds, UCITS, and special purpose vehicles.

Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan was a partner with a New York law firm and, before that, served for more than 12 years as an internal counsel for Perella Weinberg Partners, a leading global independent investment banking firm. There, he supported the executive management team and its financial advisory and investment professionals with regard to corporate and transactional matters, including as the primary transactional and investment fund attorney for an asset-based opportunities private equity and hedge fund business.

Jonathan earned his B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance and minor in economics from the University of Vermont, and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
