Skyla focuses her practice on corporate and securities law, supporting clients on a range of matters including capital markets transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
She joined the firm for her articles after earning her J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law, where she received the Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP Prize in Real Estate Transactions and the Jongman Kim Memorial Prize in Korean Legal Studies.
During law school, Skyla gained experience as a summer law student with the Law Society of British Columbia and interned in-house with a North American automobile dealership group. Skyla also volunteered with Vancouver's Legal Education Outreach to encourage secondary school students to pursue careers in law.
Skyla received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia, graduating with high distinction.
