Super Lawyers Recognizes 35 Cozen O’Connor Attorneys in New York

Fourteen attorneys were recognized as Super Lawyers, and 21 were named “Rising Stars,” a list that recognizes attorneys under the age of 40.

Brendan is a versatile and tenacious litigation attorney. He primarily focuses on tort and business litigation matters. This complex, multi-party litigation often entails extensive investigations, risk transfer strategies, negotiations, expert practice, dispositive and discovery motions, and, when necessary, trial and appellate practice. Invoking procedure, meritorious grounds, and outside-the-box thinking, Brendan has had countless lawsuits dismissed outright at various stages, including right out of the gate.

Brendan also represents businesses in breach of contract, risk transfer, and asset recovery matters. A notable example is his recovery of hundreds of thousands of dollars and assets for a Fortune 500 e-commerce retailer. Brendan’s advocacy over the years has earned him recognition, including Best Lawyers’ Ones to Watch and Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars.

Brendan writes and speaks regularly on developing legal topics, including to bar associations, law schools, colleges, and, especially, aspiring lawyers. He also serves as a volunteer attorney for the New York City Bar Association and on the board of the Syracuse University Law Alumni Association.

Brendan earned his J.D. from Syracuse University Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University at Albany. Outside of the law, Brendan maintains an active lifestyle with interests in boxing, basketball, workout classes, hiking, traveling, and reading. He is happily married to Stephanie.
