Ben counsels domestic and international high net worth individuals, families, and family offices on the management and transfer of family wealth. With over a decade of experience in estate and trust planning and administration, Ben offers his clients sophisticated and comprehensive guidance on the implications of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes, as well as options for asset protection and charitable giving.
Ben is involved in all phases of the preparation and review of estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, decanting documents, family limited partnership agreements, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and gift and estate returns.
He also has extensive experience in estate administration, including probate proceedings, estate and trust accounting proceedings, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, drafting of Surrogate's Court petitions, receipt and release documents, change of trustee documents, and exercise of power of appointment instruments.
Prior to joining the firm, Ben was a partner in the Trusts & Estates and Wealth Preservation group of a large multinational law firm. He also clerked for the Hon. Martin E. Ritholtz of the New York State Supreme Court and spent time studying abroad in Jerusalem.
Ben earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Yeshiva University.
