Ashley concentrates her practice on insurance coverage disputes and litigation. She has extensive experience defending employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators for a broad range of first-party and third-party insurance disputes.
Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Ashley was a partner at a Philadelphia-based Am Law 200 firm, where she represented Fortune 500 companies, public entities, financial institutions, and nonprofit organizations in high exposure, complex workers' compensation matters. She has also lectured for numerous insurance organizations and authored multiple publications on developing trends in the insurance industry. Most recently, Ashley worked as in-house counsel with a global insurance company, where she handled employment practices and directors and officers liability claims from inception to disposition.
Ashley earned her B.A. in history and pre-law, summa cum laude, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and her J.D., with honors, from Widener University School of Law. While at Widener, Ashley was a member of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy and Moot Court Honor Societies. Ashley also studied abroad at the Université de Lausanne and served as a legal research intern with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
