Jerry concentrates his practice on professional liability and insurance coverage law. For the last 25 years, he has provided insurers with guidance on complex risks and high-severity losses, offering insights into underwriting, coverage, and claims matters. Jerry represents insurers in disputes across a wide spectrum of issues arising under primary and excess policies, reinsurance coverages, and various areas of liability like toxic torts, products, construction, health care, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, and environmental concerns.

Over the years, Jerry's legal practice has encompassed the defense of first-party and third-party actions, handling bad faith claims, and participating in inter-carrier contribution actions. He has actively collaborated with underwriters to shape policy language and has been retained as an expert.

Jerry’s litigation experience includes multimillion-dollar cases spanning commercial law, construction law, product liability, cyber law, general liability, and professional liability, including lawyer’s professional liability. He has been counsel of record in state and federal courts beyond California, including Arizona, Montana, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wyoming. Jerry also has significant appellate experience, with several favorable published and unpublished California decisions.

Jerry earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
