Samuel Cayton

Associate

Samuel has experience preparing for and participating in trials in state and federal court, as well as handling hearings on motions with oral argument and first-chairing successful arbitrations and mediations. Samuel also has substantial experience with deposing parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses, navigating complex discovery disputes, and crafting creative solutions to resolve legal disputes. He enjoys zealously advocating for his clients and striving to achieve successful results and reduce risk. 

Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, Samuel was an associate attorney at an insurance litigation firm in Seattle where he practiced in the areas of construction defect and property disputes, complex commercial litigation, business torts, personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, employment, and insurance.

Samuel earned his B.A. from the University of Washington, majoring in law, societies, & justice and minoring in entrepreneurship. He earned his J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law and graduated cum laude. In law school, he was the executive editor of the Seattle Journal of Technology, Environmental, & Innovation Law. Prior to and during law school, Samuel worked at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. During law school, Samuel also worked at a boutique entertainment and media law firm where he handled clients' legal and business needs.  

In his spare time, Samuel enjoys traveling, electronic music, interior design, house projects, and spending time with his partner and their two dogs Morgan and Enzo.
