Maria Cristina Carson

Maria concentrates her practice on complex insurance litigation. Before joining Cozen O’Connor, Maria was an associate attorney with a regional litigation firm where she researched and drafted writs of mandamus, motions to stay, appellate briefs, and motions for summary judgement, among other motions, memos, and requests.

Maria holds a B.S.A. in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. She graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, with honors, where she was an articles editor for the Texas Review of Law & Politics and a member of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. During law school, she was a judicial intern for the Honorable David C. Guaderrama of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. After law school, Maria served as a law clerk for the Honorable John. D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. She is fluent in Romanian.
