Ross advises high net worth individuals, families, and business owners on estate and gift tax planning, income tax planning, business succession, and other private wealth matters. He works closely with clients to develop and implement tax-efficient estate plans tailored to their financial, family, and business objectives, including planning for closely held businesses, collectible assets, and other complex financial interests.
Ross has experience designing and implementing advanced estate planning strategies, including spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), charitable lead annuity trusts (CLATs), and directed trusts. His practice also includes trust and estate administration, philanthropic planning, family business succession, and advising on the governance and transfer of closely held business interests.
Before beginning his legal career, Ross held finance and operations roles at early-stage technology companies and worked as an investment banking analyst, where he was involved in more than $100 billion of corporate debt financings. His prior business and finance experience informs his practical approach to advising entrepreneurs, business owners, and families with complex financial interests.
Ross earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he served as an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Public Affairs. He received his B.A. from Wesleyan University.
