Alexa is a family lawyer with experience effectively resolving disputes in and out of court. She assists clients in cohabitation and marriage agreements, pre-and post-nuptial agreements, separation and divorce, spousal support, custody and guardianship, property division, child support, and parenting arrangements.
Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Alexa was an associate in the family law practice of one of Western Canada's leading law firms. Before that, she was an associate with a full-service Vancouver-based firm, focusing on personal injury, professional negligence, property damage/loss, occupier's liability, and human rights matters.
Alexa earned her J.D. from the University of Victoria and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Windsor. Her background in psychology contributes to her ability to understand and address the emotional complexities of family law matters. Before attending law school, Alexa worked in a number of front-line positions servicing the homeless population in Vancouver, B.C., and Windsor, Ontario.
