Jeannette has extensive experience in divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, and trust matters. Her clients seek her out for her empathetic approach and skilled negotiating. When litigation becomes necessary, Jeannette has appeared on behalf of her clients in all levels of court in B.C.
Jeannette is also passionate about new developments in family law. She is one of the very few professionals in B.C. with close to a decade of experience in fertility and reproductive technology law and compliance with the Assisted Human Reproduction Act. She has authored a chapter on fertility law in the 2024 update to the BC Family Law Practice and Procedure Manual, and is a knowledgeable advocate on behalf of clients seeking fertility agreements, ova and sperm donation agreements, and surrogacy agreements.
Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Jeannette was a partner in the family law practice of one of Western Canada's leading law firms. Before that, she was an associate with a full-service firm based in Richmond, B.C. Jeannette earned her B.A. from the University of Victoria and her J.D. from Thompson Rivers University, where she won first place in the B.C. Court of Appeal Competitive Moot Court. She also volunteers with Access Pro Bono Society of B.C. in civil rights and social action.
