Michael brings 14 years of in-depth policy experience, focusing on consumer, retail, health, and labor policy, while working for multiple members of the New Jersey Legislature. Michael's clients benefit from his extensive knowledge of the state legislative process and experience building coalitions to support legislative measures.
Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Michael served as the chief of staff for New Jersey's 4th legislative district office, supporting chair of the Senate Labor Committee, Senator Fred H. Madden (D), chair of the Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee, Assemblyman Paul D. Moriarty, and Assemblywoman Gabriela M. Mosquera (D). As chief of staff, he oversaw a team of eight while coordinating efforts to usher bills through the legislative process, from introduction through final passage. He also coordinated regularly with the New Jersey Governor's Office, executive-level agencies, public interest groups, and community leaders.
Having served as a member of the Gloucester Township zoning board for 10 years, Michael also keenly understands zoning regulations, land use planning, and procedural knowledge, as well as the importance of community engagement, conflict resolution, and coalition building in local politics.
Michael earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Rowan University and his M.P.A. from Rutgers University.
