Eight Am Law 100 firms discussed how they are using AI with Law.com and The Legal Intelligencer. The firms, which included Cozen O’Connor, Troutman Pepper Hamilton & Sanders, Ballard Spahr, Morgan Lewis & Bockius, Dechert, and Fox Rothschild, discussed using the tool for internal use, creating their own GPT programs, and how they are training their attorneys to use AI. The firm leaders found the most use for generative AI tools in marketing and administrative tasks.
Kristina Bakardjiev, director of legal practice innovations, said in the article that generative AI could carry implications for knowledge management. “The knowledge management piece of what it’s able to do and understanding concepts when it does a deep dive into data is the most useful thing in the near future for us,” she said.
Cozen O’Connor is also one of five firms in Pennsylvania developing their own chatbot. Bakardjiev said of the firm’s efforts, “It’s a proprietary tool that we’re going to point at a number of ambitious goals.”
