Signs of migrant flight grow ahead of new Florida immigration law

Scott Bettridge was quoted in the South Florida Sun Sentinel discussing a new Florida state law designed to catch unauthorized immigrant workers. Scott said one of the bigger concerns he's tried to explain to clients is the insertion of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement into the auditing process. In the past, that has been the province of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. "Now it's FDLE. That's never been done before. I think that is one of the most sweeping sections of the bill — to turn over random audits of I-9s to a state department," said Scott.
