WILMINGTON, DEL, March 24, 2023 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Thomas M. Horan, a former member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Restructuring Practice Group, has been appointed to the bench of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Horan’s practice focused on financial restructuring and bankruptcy litigation. Horan’s clients included debtors and official unsecured creditors’ committees in complex Chapter 11 proceedings; counselling secured creditors, trustees, unsecured creditors’, and debtor-in-possession lenders; and representing clients in a wide variety of contested matters and adversary proceedings.
Horan is a member of the board of directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute and recently served as vice president, Communications & Information Technology. He also is a member of the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court. Horan earned his law degree (J.D., cum laude 2004) from St. John’s University School of Law and both his M.A. (1992) and his B.A. (1989) degrees from Fordham University.
Horan was sworn in for a 14-year term on March 22, 2023.
