BOSTON, October 24, 2023 — Super Lawyers has named two Cozen O’Connor attorneys to its 2023 list in Massachusetts. Wendy K. Venoit, a member in the firm's Construction Law Practice, was named a 2023 Massachusetts Super Lawyer and Michael Filbin, an associate in the firm's Construction Law Practice, was named a 2023 Massachusetts Rising Star.

Wendy has more than 25 years of experience as a construction lawyer and arbitration advocate whose practice focuses on representing contractors and owners in litigation and arbitration of construction disputes. She is also regularly asked to counsel clients with respect to ongoing construction projects (serving as project counsel) to draft and negotiate contracts, interpret contract terms, assert and defend claims, and resolve disputes so as to avoid litigation.
Michael represents owners, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in various construction-related matters, including contract disputes, construction defect claims, and mechanic's lien disputes. Michael has litigation experience taking and defending depositions, managing pre-trial discovery, leading factual investigations, conducting witness interviews, and participating in hearings and settlement negotiations. He has prepared dispositive and discovery motions, pleadings, discovery responses and requests, expert disclosures, mediation memoranda, settlement agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
