Michael Schmidt spoke with Law360 about New York City's recent firing of more than 1,400 workers who refused COVID-19 vaccinations. "You know, everybody is a human being still. And, again, this is an unfortunate situation all the way around," said Michael. "But employers are allowed to enforce their lawful workplace policies and right now, a mandatory vaccine policy is one such lawful workplace policy." "So if you've decided to enforce that policy, you still should think about doing it with as much advance communication and as much human communication as you can," he said.
