Joe Tate, as a faculty member, and Nicole Marie Gill, as a participant, attended the Sedona Conference’s 2022 eDiscovery Negotiation Training. In this three day training, participants took part in three mock Rule 26(f) conferences focusing on scope of discovery, preservation, form of production, privilege, and social media in both breakout sessions and plenary sessions judged by preeminent members of the judiciary, corporate counsel, and law firms. Participants also engaged in a mock Rule 16(b) case management conference during a plenary session. The Sedona Conference’s mission is to develop principles, guidance, and best practice recommendations for information governance and electronic discovery in litigation, dispute resolution, and investigations.
