Vivien Krieger is quoted in a QNS article that discusses the proposed development of a mixed-use building that would involve rezoning The Reform Temple of Forest Hills.  A public land use hearing took place on October 27 to discuss this proposal.

In this article, she addresses the community’s concerns regarding affordability and sustainability. Vivien explains how this 10-story structure will include 153 rental units, 38 units set aside for affordable housing, a ground-floor community facility space, underground parking for 60 vehicles, and additional space for bicycle parking.

“The project will utilize MIH Option 1, which will require 25% of the apartments, or about 38 units, to be permanently affordable to renters making an average of approximately $50,000 a year for a single person or $73,000 a year for a four-person household,” Vivien stated.

“The green roof will be designed to retain stormwater through permeable materials and native plantings consisting of flood and drought-tolerant species,” she added.
