Congress is more supportive of cannabis than ever. Last year, for the first time, the Democratic-controlled House passed a sweeping cannabis-decriminalization bill. Now, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has paired up with fellow Democratic Senators Cory Booker (NJ) and Ron Wyden (OR) to draft a proposal on legalizing and regulating the product.
All of these factors lead advocates to believe that cannabis legalization really is on the horizon.
