Employer perks for COVID-19 vaccinated workers could draw legal challenges

John Ho was quoted in Yahoo! Finance discussing how employers may incentivize employees in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. “It has to be voluntary,” he said. “Where the line gets drawn on whether an incentive is so significant that it makes employees feel coerced to disclose protected medical information to receive the reward, or avoid a penalty, is somewhat unclear,” he explained. “Employers have to make sure that it’s not so much that it’s no longer voluntary, and that they are not essentially forcing people to do it.”
