David Barron spoke with Yahoo! Finance about how COVID-19 could be an exception to the rule involving the WARN Act. “One of [the exceptions] is an unforeseeable business circumstance, and I think unfortunately this is a classic scenario, what would be an unforeseeable business circumstance,” David said. “In talking to clients, I don't know anybody that's paying 60 days notice right now.”
