Ken Levine commented on the impact of Hurricane Michael on the insurance industry in Miami Today. Ken discusses various issues, including the volume of claims, new legislation to prevent fraud abuse, and the rising cost of insurance premiums.
“Right now and going through 2020, a key priority is going to be clearing up claims that are still outstanding, more than three years after the storm make landfall in Bay Country,” Ken said. “It’s estimated more than 15,000 claims worth about $7 billion haven’t been resolved.”
