Mark Alderman, chairman of Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, was quoted in a Law360 article discussing comments submitted in response to the initial version of the USDA’s industrial hemp regulations, released last October. Mark said, “While comments flowed in, lobbyists on Capitol Hill were putting pressure on legislators to get them to tell the USDA there was no need to use total THC. The push was to get the Hill to tell the administration that they were wrong. That collapsed when USDA said no.”
