NEW YORK, October 29, 2019 — Tamar Wise, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Commercial Litigation Department, has been named one of New York City’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars by City & State New York. Wise represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters including securities, contract, defamation, and real estate cases in jurisdictions nationwide. Wise also maintains a robust appellate practice. In 2019, Wise second-chaired a high-profile First Amendment victory before the U.S. Supreme Court in Manhattan Community Access Center v. Halleck. The Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling will have wide-ranging implications in First Amendment and media law, including in the developing space of Constitutional claims surrounding social media.
Each year, City & State honors 40 talented individuals under the age of 40 who work in New York City government, politics, and advocacy and have distinguished themselves in the eyes of their colleagues as a rising star in the industry. To view the full list, click here.
