Second Circuit Revives Claims Against Saudi Bank Accused of Aiding 9/11 Attacks

Sean Carter discusses a ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit directing a lower court to conduct discovery on whether it has jurisdiction to hear the claims in a civil lawsuit accusing Saudi Arabian Al Rajhi Bank of aiding al-Qaida in carrying out the 9/11 terrorist attacks. “Since 2003, we’ve been pursuing these claims to get answers concerning any Saudi involvement in the rise of al-Qaida and the involvement of the Saudi government,” said Carter. “This is the first time we’ve ever had a chance to conduct discovery of Al Rajhi.”
