Greg Fliszar discussed with Law.com how health care providers are handling the rising number of serious data breaches that affect patients. “They are going to have to do a little bit more. A business associate agreement is not enough. They are going to have to do their due diligence and do some monitoring to make sure their vendors who have access to their PHI [protected health information] have the appropriate procedures in place and are abiding by them,” Fliszar said.
