Scott Bettridge, chair of Cozen O'Connor's Immigration practice, was quoted in Politico discussing the recent impact on immigration with the legalization of marijuana in Canada. “It is risky at best for a lot of individuals,” said Scott. “Even with an approved visa petition, CBP could still deny them entry.” A statement released by CBP last month states that “if a traveler is found to be coming to the U.S. for reason related to the marijuana industry, they may be deemed inadmissible.”
