Evicted Tenants of 85 Bowery in New York Are Going Home

Friday, August 31, 2018

Ken Fisher, a member of Cozen O'Connor’s Business Law Department, discusses the return of displaced tenants to a renovated New York apartment building in the Daily News, CBS New York, and AsAmNews.com. The tenants were removed from their apartments after the city deemed the building unsafe.

According to Ken, a spokesperson and attorney for the landlord, “The owners have been saying they were going to fix the staircase and they did. They said they were going to make all the repairs, and they did. They said they were going to help them out financially, and they did. They have kept every promise that they made and they are delighted. After bitterness, comes happiness and we are all here celebrating. A new day has come for these tenants.”
