Mark Alderman, chairman of Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies, discusses the french presidential election on Fox News. The 2017 French presidential election was held on April 23. Since no candidate won a majority, a run-off election between the top two candidates, Emmanuel Macron of En Marche! and Marine Le Pen of the National Front will be held on May 7. "The Le Pen campaign has featured a lot of the same ugliness that the Trump campaign did," says Mark. "The scapegoating of Muslims, the embrace of Putin, the holocaust denial, and Le Pen should not be underestimated because the bigotry there is as powerful as it proved to be here."
